Role overview

A senior data scientist role embedded directly within a core business unit at a fast-scaling consumer platform that helps people manage major physical assets. The position is part of a central analytics team that operates less like a traditional reporting function and more like a strategic partner, shaping the questions that drive product, acquisition, automation, and partnership decisions. Successful candidates will own the full analytical loop: framing the problem, pulling the data, building the case, and following through to outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Partner with leaders in growth, product, AI/automation, or strategic partnerships to define the highest-leverage business questions - Build and maintain metrics, dashboards, and analytical reports that monitor the health of a business domain - Design experiments, run analyses, and translate raw data into recommendations stakeholders can act on - Push back on flawed assumptions and ensure every analysis is tied to a real decision - Drive recommendations through execution, working alongside cross-functional counterparts to see initiatives through end-to-end

Requirements

- 4+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company - Strong hands-on skills in SQL or Python, with the judgment to know which questions are worth answering before touching the data - A first-principles mindset — comfortable breaking ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses - Direct, precise communication skills with the ability to convince skeptical stakeholders quickly - A strong sense of ownership, including willingness to fix problems outside your immediate scope
