An early-career data science role supporting the U.S. Navy's maritime electronic warfare programs, including surface electronic warfare improvement initiatives. The position integrates logistics, reliability engineering, and operations research to model complex systems and improve operational availability across the system lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop analytical techniques that transform raw data into actionable information for operational and program decision-making. - Apply data mining, modeling, statistical analysis, NLP, and machine learning to large structured and unstructured datasets. - Build data models and algorithms to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, risks, and performance indicators. - Create visualizations, dashboards, and dynamic reports that communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences. - Integrate logistics, engineering, maintenance, reliability, and operational data to support lifecycle and sustainment analysis. - Collaborate with logisticians, engineers, operations research analysts, and program personnel to translate mission needs into analytical solutions.
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance. - Bachelor's degree. - Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. - Proficiency with data-oriented programming languages and analytical tools for collecting, processing, and interpreting complex datasets. - Ability to prepare and present technical reports, analyses, and briefings that support informed decision-making.
