Software Development Manager - Growth

Role overview Lead a development team focused on helping clinics get started successfully, improving the onboarding experience and exploring an AI-led alternative. You’ll share responsibility for activation outcomes with product, design, and data partners while staying hands-on with architecture, code, and the team’s approach to using AI.

Responsibilities - Coach and develop engineers, supporting their technical growth and career progression. - Stay close to implementation through code review, pairing, architecture discussions, and shipping work with the team. - Partner across product, design, and data to own activation as an outcome and adjust plans when releases do not improve it. - Set direction for AI-supported onboarding, including problem framing, early product choices, and infrastructure needs. - Support frequent releases, useful instrumentation, and experiments designed to produce clear learning. - Encourage practical, responsible use of AI tools and coordinate with adjacent AI and product teams on a connected clinic experience.

Requirements - A background as a hands-on software developer followed by experience managing a development team. - Continued interest in writing and reviewing code, with the ability to weigh architecture tradeoffs alongside senior engineers. - Experience on a growth or product-led growth team and ownership of an outcome such as activation or conversion. - Experience taking an AI product from concept to customers and revenue, with judgment about where AI adds value. - Strong product instrumentation and experimentation skills, including the ability to recognize when results are inconclusive or unsuccessful. - A track record of coaching others and communicating ideas openly, including amid uncertainty.

Benefits and work setup The team works remotely across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The role includes equity and published salary ranges: CAD $158,400–$247,500 in Canada or USD $168,000–$262,500 in the United States; the stated typical accomplished-level figures are approximately CAD $188,100 and USD $199,500, respectively.
