Product Designer - Communications

Role overview Partner with a small, close-knit product group focused on the communications surfaces of a clinic management platform used by health practitioners and their patients. As a Product Designer, you will shape text messaging, secure messaging, and staff notification experiences that keep clinics and patients connected between visits, owning work end-to-end with room to grow into a senior role.

Responsibilities - Bring care and craft to the communications experience through thoughtful interaction details, transitions, and microinteractions. - Own smaller projects from brief to shipped improvement, supported by a product manager and design partners. - Improve consistency across messaging surfaces by working within and championing the team's design system. - Partner closely with developers, pairing day-to-day so designs ship as intended. - Join customer research sessions and turn clinic feedback into sharper prototypes and solutions. - Build relationships with designers in neighbouring groups and go-to-market partners. - Champion pragmatic, responsible use of AI tools to prototype quickly.

Requirements - At least 2 years of product design experience in a commercial setting, with features shipped to customers. - Understanding of how product teams work, including collaboration with product managers and developers across the software development lifecycle. - Strong eye for interaction design and visual craft, including states, transitions, and microinteractions. - Comfort working in Figma and an AI coding assistant such as Claude Code, and within a design system. - Bias to action, anticipating upcoming work and picking up tasks without waiting for a ticket. - Curiosity and confidence to ask questions, speak up, and welcome feedback openly.
