Role overview This technician role delivers remote IT support to a portfolio of business clients, resolving everyday workstation, application, and network issues with minimal supervision. The position combines hands-on troubleshooting, customer-facing communication, and participation in an after-hours rotation to maintain service quality. It is designed for a detail-oriented helpdesk professional who enjoys solving a wide variety of technical problems in a managed service provider environment.
Responsibilities - Resolve workstation operating system issues across Windows and Mac platforms, including printer problems and standard business application support. - Triage line-of-business application issues, handling common tools such as SAGE ERP and QuickBooks directly and coordinating with vendors for more niche products. - Perform basic Microsoft 365 administration, basic server support, and basic networking troubleshooting. - Answer incoming quick-fix calls from clients and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support. - Apply consistent troubleshooting methodology to deliver high first-touch resolution rates and strong customer satisfaction.
Requirements - At least two years of helpdesk or similar support experience, with confidence troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS. - Skills in application troubleshooting, PC deployments and imaging, user profile management, and endpoint cybersecurity. - Basic knowledge of firewalls, switches, network architecture, and the Microsoft Entra Admin Center. - Proficiency supporting M365, Office applications, Active Directory, backup software, mobile devices, and a range of business applications. - Experience working with managed service providers is highly desirable, and active IT certifications are preferred. - Strong command of written and spoken English, with full-time availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
Nice to have - At least two certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or 3CX Basic Certified Engineer. - Experience running online behavior and cognitive assessments, and willingness to provide NBI clearance for Philippines-based applicants.
