Role overview
A senior Technical Account Manager is needed to serve as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers deploying a leading Privilege Access Management (PAM) and identity security platform. The role centers on guiding customers through deployment, optimizing their investment, and acting as the bridge between client engineering teams and internal product, support, and engineering organizations. It is a customer-facing, hands-on technical position suited to someone motivated by complex security challenges and long-term client success.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical subject matter expert for privileged access services and platform offerings - Advise enterprise customers on deployment best practices, remove blockers, and help them maximize value from their investment - Monitor customer health metrics and share status with sales, support, and renewals stakeholders - Deliver remote onboarding, configuration, training, and enablement services to new and existing customers - Triage and drive resolution of high-priority issues impacting customer service delivery - Track bugs, releases, and security advisories, and advocate for customer needs with product and engineering teams - Conduct regular review sessions to validate platform configurations, designs, and operational plans - Document customer environments and coordinate early beta access programs for upcoming releases
Requirements
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics clearly for technical audiences - Hands-on Microsoft Active Directory administration and design experience - Microsoft Windows server administration and engineering experience - Experience with at least one major Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services - UNIX and/or Linux administration experience in large-scale enterprise environments - Background working with cloud or as-a-service delivery models
Nice to have
- Familiarity with NIS, LDAP, or UNIX authentication concepts such as PAM, NSS, and Kerberos - Knowledge of compliance frameworks including PCI, SOX, and GLBA as they relate to infrastructure security and access management - Experience with other Privilege Access Management solutions such as BeyondTrust or CyberArk - Scripting ability in Perl, PowerShell, or comparable languages - Exposure to network storage administration, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft Clustering Services, or message brokers such as RabbitMQ - Prior success leading large, cross-functional technology projects across enterprise silos
