Application Deployment Engineer

Role overview Plan and deliver application deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments. The work centers on making releases repeatable and dependable through automation, infrastructure as code, CI/CD improvements, and thorough verification. You will also troubleshoot deployment issues and provide technical guidance to teammates.

Responsibilities - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan and carry out application deployment strategies. - Configure and manage applications across multiple environments, and create scripts and tools to automate releases. - Build and maintain Terraform infrastructure, including reusable modules and remote state. - Improve CI/CD pipelines and investigate deployment problems with development and operations teams. - Test and verify releases for correctness, function, and performance; follow release controls and deployment practices. - Document configurations and troubleshooting guidance, and mentor junior team members on deployment practices.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, and at least five years in deployment, release management, or a related role. - Strong knowledge of deployment methods and automation scripting in CI environments. - Practical Terraform experience, including modules, state management, and pipeline integration. - Understanding of continuous integration, cross-platform integration, and system- and integration-level testing. - Experience defining infrastructure for test and production environments and deploying applications in hosted environments. - Strong Windows and Linux skills, including Linux server troubleshooting; RHCSA and RHCE credentials are specified. - Careful problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
