Senior Ruby on Rails Engineers

Role overview Build and scale backend systems for financial and other mission-critical workloads. The work spans Ruby development, data architecture, performance, and reliability, with close collaboration across product, finance, risk, and platform teams.

Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain distributed backend services. - Write secure, readable Ruby code that supports long-term reliability and maintainability. - Model data and manage transactions in SQL systems, with attention to consistency and high throughput. - Use NoSQL databases and caching to improve application performance and scalability. - Contribute to system design discussions, code reviews, and shared engineering practices. - Coordinate with partner teams to deliver solutions tied to business needs.

Requirements - At least five years of backend engineering experience, including building and scaling distributed systems. - Strong Ruby skills and commitment to clear, maintainable, secure code. - Hands-on experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and sound data modeling and transaction management. - Proven ability to optimize system performance. - Familiarity with NoSQL and caching approaches. - Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have - Experience in financial services, fintech, or another regulated sector. - Familiarity with microservices, cloud-native systems, monitoring, observability, or DevOps tools.
