Role overview
This is a remote, contract-based opportunity for experienced software engineers to conduct structured technical interviews on behalf of hiring organizations. The work centers on evaluating developer candidates through live coding sessions and contributing to the refinement of interview content and processes. Candidates must be located in Colombia and able to work on a freelance, task-based compensation model.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate one-way and live technical interviews via a dedicated online platform, guiding candidates through coding problems while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere - Assess each candidate's fundamental coding abilities, technical knowledge, communication skills, problem-solving approach, and coding style - Submit detailed, objective evaluations of candidate performance after each session - Collaborate with the platform team to test and improve interview questions, rubrics, processes, and product features - Help mitigate bias in technical hiring by applying consistent, structured evaluation criteria
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience as a software developer or engineer - Strong written and spoken English communication skills with a high degree of professionalism and interpersonal fluency - Reliable high-speed internet connection plus a working webcam and microphone suitable for video interviewing - Residence in Colombia (applications are only being accepted from candidates in approved countries) - Resume submitted in English
Nice to have
- Prior experience conducting technical interviews, particularly on topics such as data structures and algorithms - Familiarity with structured or rubric-based evaluation methods
