Interview Engineer (Chile)

Role overview This is a contractor opportunity for experienced software developers who want to apply their technical background in a people-facing capacity. Interview Engineers conduct live technical interviews with developer candidates around the world, helping organizations run more objective and inclusive hiring processes. Work is task-based and fully remote, with assignments scheduled through a dedicated interview platform.

Responsibilities

- Facilitate structured technical interviews via a remote video platform, guiding candidates through coding and knowledge-based questions. - Create a positive and welcoming candidate experience while objectively assessing fundamental coding skills and technical knowledge. - Evaluate each candidate's coding style, problem-solving approach, communication skills, and depth of technical understanding. - Submit detailed written evaluations and scoring after each interview to support downstream hiring decisions. - Collaborate with the program team to test new interview content, refine processes, and provide product feedback. - Uphold consistent standards of fairness and bias mitigation throughout every interview.

Requirements

- Three or more years of professional experience as a software developer or engineer. - Strong written and spoken English communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and interpersonal sensitivity. - Reliable, high-speed internet connection plus a working webcam and microphone suitable for conducting live video interviews. - Residence in Chile (applications are limited to specified eligible countries at the time of posting). - Availability to accept scheduled interview tasks on a flexible, task-based basis. - Resume submitted in English.

Nice to have

- Prior experience conducting technical interviews, particularly on data structures and algorithms. - Familiarity with structured interviewing or competency-based assessment approaches.
