Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) - Copyright

Role overview Build and improve a copyright product as part of a collaborative product engineering team. The role spans backend system design and implementation, technical decision-making, quality practices, and partnership with product and other disciplines to turn requirements into dependable software.

Responsibilities - Design and implement scalable, reliable systems, with attention to performance and maintainability. - Work with product managers and cross-functional partners to shape requirements and technical specifications. - Review code, guide technical choices, and uphold practices such as documentation, unit testing, and version control. - Identify technical risks early and address them throughout development and delivery. - Use AI-assisted engineering tools where they can improve development or testing, and explore relevant product applications. - Mentor less experienced engineers and share knowledge across the team.

Requirements - Five to seven years of product engineering experience; senior or lead experience is preferred. - Strong Java skills, with experience across web technologies, databases, and cloud platforms. - Track record of delivering software products from early definition through launch. - Ability to collaborate across product, design, and engineering and explain technical topics to varied audiences. - Commitment to code quality, unit testing, analytical problem-solving, and continued learning.

Nice to have - Experience with Java Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud services such as AWS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, S3, Kinesis, SNS, or SQS. - Familiarity with containers, orchestration, or serverless frameworks.
