About this role
Role overview A contract audio editing role supporting the video production pipeline of an immersive VR streaming platform. The work is focused exclusively on surgical audio cleanup and precise dialogue editing for spoken-word video content. It is a fully remote, pay-per-project engagement operating on a B2B basis through the contractor's own legal business entity.
Responsibilities - Perform precise audio restoration to eliminate background noise, room reverb, wind, clothing rustle, hums, clicks, and unwanted ambient sounds. - Edit, cut, and trim audio tracks to remove unwanted spoken lines, awkward pauses, off-script phrases, and overlapping dialogue. - Deliver clean, naturally sounding audio without artifacts, phase issues, or robotic noise-reduction tones. - Balance output levels, apply basic dynamics and EQ, and deliver production-ready master files synced to video.
Requirements - Proven experience in audio editing and restoration for video post-production, including YouTube, podcasts, interviews, or TV content. - Proficiency in dedicated audio restoration software. - A portfolio demonstrating before-and-after restoration samples and direct links to dialogue-heavy video projects. - Strong attention to audio detail, sharp ears, and the ability to work efficiently under project deadlines.
