Workday Systems Analyst – Finance

Role overview A healthcare organization is hiring a Workday Systems Analyst to support and evolve its Financials platform and adjacent finance applications. The role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and FP&A stakeholders to translate business needs into well-designed system solutions, strengthen reporting, and keep integrations running reliably. It blends steady production support with project work aimed at improving the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of Finance operations.

Responsibilities - Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday Financials modules, including business processes, security, reports, calculated fields, and related functional components. - Gather and document requirements from Finance partners, perform gap and process analyses, and recommend practical configuration or workflow improvements. - Support and troubleshoot integrations and data flows between Workday and other finance systems, coordinating with technical teams on deeper issues. - Provide day-to-day production support, investigate defects, communicate resolutions, and escalate risks as needed. - Build and refine scheduled and ad hoc reports, validate data accuracy, and partner with Finance to resolve reporting discrepancies. - Develop test plans and acceptance criteria, coordinate user acceptance testing for releases and changes, and maintain functional documentation and job aids.

Requirements - At least 5 years of experience supporting Finance organizations, finance systems, or related business applications. - 3-4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials or a comparable ERP finance platform. - Working knowledge of finance processes, with the ability to convert business requirements into system designs and configurations. - Experience with requirements gathering, process analysis, functional design, testing, reporting, and documentation. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.

Nice to have - Hands-on experience with Workday procurement, expenses, accounting, or reporting functionality. - Prior exposure to healthcare or similarly regulated finance environments.
