Director, Infrastructure & Data Platforms

Role overview Lead the architecture, engineering, security, and ongoing operation of infrastructure and data platforms in a regulated environment. The work spans cloud and identity systems, security operations, DevOps, enterprise data, and governed AI integrations, combining hands-on technical delivery with vendor direction and potential future team management.

Responsibilities - Set infrastructure, security, and data priorities with IT leadership, then deliver roadmaps with clear milestones and measurable outcomes. - Architect and operate Microsoft 365, Okta, Azure, endpoint, network, and collaboration services; handle complex escalations and lead identity, zero trust, and network design. - Apply infrastructure as code, source control, automated testing, and CI/CD across infrastructure, data, AI, and application integrations. - Own continuity, disaster recovery, capacity planning, backup testing, vulnerability management, incident response, and security remediation. - Build and operate an enterprise data warehouse, secure data pipelines, master data management practices, and governed AI capabilities, including MCP integrations. - Lead technical design and delivery for enterprise implementations, from integrations and security through testing, migration, launch, and operational handoff; direct service providers and implementation partners.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field. - At least ten years of hands-on infrastructure, cloud, security operations, and architecture experience, including Microsoft 365, Okta, Azure, networking, zero trust, and work in a regulated industry. - Production experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and automation. - Hands-on experience with cloud data warehousing, MDM, governed AI and MCP integrations, as well as business continuity, disaster recovery, and regulated validation or quality processes. - Ability to plan, build, operate, and troubleshoot systems while communicating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have Experience with Zscaler, Terraform, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes or AKS, PowerShell, and Python.

Benefits and work setup Remote-based role with approximately 10% domestic travel. The stated salary range is USD $200,000–$240,000; additional compensation may include equity. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, and parental leave.
