A senior leader is sought to run a commercial analytics function within a life sciences organization, blending hands-on analytical execution with executive-level client engagement. The position operates as a player-coach, balancing day-to-day oversight of analysts with direct ownership of high-visibility initiatives for pharmaceutical clients. The role requires someone equally confident building complex analyses from scratch and presenting polished narratives to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Monitor client campaign performance against defined success metrics, surfacing trends, risks, and opportunities ahead of client conversations - Lead analytics input for quarterly and executive business reviews, translating complex data into bespoke narratives aligned to each client's brand objectives - Scope and drive ambiguous strategic analyses independently, pulling in data engineering, product, and client services teams as needed - Build compelling visual stories tailored to client services, sales, and external client audiences - Partner with sales and customer success to support renewals, expansion, and business development through data-backed opportunity assessments - Manage and coach analysts, setting standards for accuracy, methodology, and client-ready storytelling while balancing competing priorities
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative or analytics-focused roles, including direct people-management and mentorship - Proven client-facing experience presenting complex data to non-technical audiences, including high-stakes or executive-level conversations - Background in analytics within the life sciences industry - Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to manage complex analytical projects independently from scoping to delivery - Expert-level proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, modeling, and structured analytical workflows - Expert-level proficiency in presentation software such as PowerPoint or Google Slides - Working proficiency in SQL for data analysis within large relational databases - Hands-on experience with visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Sigma

- Familiarity with program measurement approaches like Test vs. Control or Marketing Mix Modeling - Experience with HCP-focused digital marketing or engagement campaigns for pharmaceutical brands - Strong knowledge of prescription and medical claims data - Experience with AI-powered insights generation and reporting - Agency, media, or vendor experience in healthcare technology
