Role overview
A senior quality engineering role within a cybersecurity SaaS organization building a secure virtual workspace for mobile access to enterprise apps and data. The engineer will combine functional manual testing with automated framework development, partnering with cross-functional teams to ship reliable releases and mentor the QA function.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain automated tests for RESTful web services across the SaaS product. - Build and sustain functional UI-level automation covering product front-ends and key user workflows. - Define test coverage, quality gates, and release-readiness criteria alongside engineering and product teams. - Plan and run manual test cases for features not yet automated or that need exploratory evaluation. - Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and advocate a shift-left QA approach across scrum teams. - Lead root-cause analysis on defects and recommend improvements to existing test infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years in software quality assurance or test engineering with demonstrated strength in test-case planning, defect triage, and prioritization. - 5+ years working with an API-based test automation framework such as REST Assured, Playwright, or an equivalent tool. - Extensive experience designing and executing functional manual test cases for a SaaS product. - Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, Go, or a comparable language, with Java experience preferred. - Self-directed collaborator effective across multiple small engineering teams. - U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency and willingness to provide periodic off-hours on-call support.
