Senior Engineering Manager

Role overview Lead and develop an engineering team working across open-source software, enterprise products, and data services for AI. The role combines direct people management with delivery ownership: help the team make sound commitments, ship reliably, and build greater ownership and professional skill—while staying hands-on enough to continue writing and shipping code.

Responsibilities - Manage engineers through regular one-to-ones, feedback, performance discussions, promotions, and difficult conversations. - Guide delivery from agreed priorities to shipped software, establishing a dependable working rhythm. - Help engineers overcome blockers without becoming the required decision-maker for every issue. - Address performance or development concerns early and coach people in scoping, estimating, decision-making, and outcome ownership. - Contribute code and remain involved in the technical work. - Help shape product priorities, team practices, and delivery commitments.

Requirements - Engineering management experience that includes direct responsibility for team development and delivery. - Ability to coach engineers toward stronger judgment and ownership rather than taking work back when they struggle. - Continued hands-on software development experience. - Ability to lead across open-source, commercial software, and operationally complex data workflows.

Nice to have - Experience with AI data collection, annotation, evaluation, or multimodal workflows. - Familiarity with open-source platforms and enterprise software.
