Business Intelligence Developer (Tableau and Looker)

Role overview A senior Business Intelligence Developer is needed to lead the modernization of enterprise reporting and data visualization across a fully remote engagement. The work involves migrating legacy Tableau dashboards into Looker, building a unified semantic layer, and embedding AI-assisted development practices into the BI workflow.

Responsibilities - Build, modernize, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards, including retrofitting and migrating assets from Tableau into Looker. - Design and sustain a universal semantic layer that standardizes metrics and definitions across reporting surfaces. - Apply AI-powered capabilities within BI tooling, including developer assistants, to accelerate dashboard, pipeline, and chart creation. - Develop data-driven reporting solutions using Python alongside modern BI technologies. - Work across data pipelines, databases, visualizations, and chart layers to deliver consistent reporting experiences.

Requirements - 10 or more years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, or data visualization. - Hands-on expertise with Tableau and demonstrated, mandatory experience with Looker. - Strong Python skills for data and reporting workflows. - Practical experience using AI development assistants such as Claude Code for pipelines, databases, visualizations, and charts. - Solid understanding of modern BI tooling, dashboard design, and data modeling concepts.

Nice to have - Familiarity with semantic layer design patterns and metric standardization.
