Staff Product Designer - Design Core

Role overview

Lead product design across foundational, platform-wide experiences, including a shared home area and a broad new initiative. Set direction as priorities evolve, align teams around a coherent experience, and take work from strategy through launch and iteration.

Responsibilities - Own design for key platform experiences and move between areas as needs change. - Partner with product and engineering leaders to shape the roadmap and clarify what to build, why, and when. - Bring together perspectives from teams such as sales, risk, and compliance to keep the product consistent across domains. - Lead end-to-end design, from discovery and concept through implementation and quality review. - Mentor senior designers, contribute to hiring, and help strengthen design practice. - Ship work quickly, learn from results, and refine the experience.

Requirements - At least 10 years leading end-to-end product design for web or mobile applications, including work across broad or ambiguous areas. - Strong UX and UI skills and experience working with, implementing, or scaling design systems. - Ability to align cross-functional stakeholders, explain complex strategy to leaders, and manage expectations. - A portfolio demonstrating high craft and at least one detailed case study. - Self-directed, adaptable judgment and comfort making decisions amid changing priorities. - Active use of AI tools in design work, such as accelerating prototypes, improving workflows, or exploring product interactions.

Nice to have - Ability to take design work through to production. - Personal projects or experience at a fast-moving product organization. - Experience designing AI features or using AI tools as part of the design process.
