Senior/Lead Forward Deployed AI Engineer-Anthropic-Netherlands/Western Europe

Role overview

A senior forward-deployed AI engineer will work directly with enterprise customers to design, deploy, and operationalize AI-powered workflow solutions built on Claude and modern LLM engineering practices. The role blends full-stack engineering, enterprise integration, generative AI implementation, and client-facing solution delivery across multiple engagements. The engineer partners with business consultants, product teams, and customer stakeholders to translate real-world problems into secure, production-ready AI solutions.

Responsibilities

- Deploy, configure, and operationalize agentic AI workflows, AI assistants, and AI-powered automations within customer enterprise environments and connected technology ecosystems - Translate business requirements and operational processes into technical architectures, implementation plans, and production-ready AI solutions - Build enterprise AI applications using Claude and related LLM platforms, applying prompt and context-engineering techniques, structured outputs, tool use or function calling, and retrieval-augmented generation grounded in authorized knowledge sources - Build prototypes, demos, and proof-of-concept implementations that validate AI-driven workflows and iterate based on customer feedback and operational results - Implement reliability and trust patterns including citation grounding, validation, confidence thresholds, output schemas, fallback handling, and human-in-the-loop escalation workflows - Support workshops, discovery sessions, technical working sessions, pilots, and production rollouts while clearly communicating AI capabilities, limitations, and adoption considerations

Requirements

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, enterprise platforms, or workflow automation - Hands-on experience building, deploying, or supporting AI/LLM-powered applications, RAG systems, conversational experiences, or agentic workflows - Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or comparable programming and scripting languages - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud - Familiarity with modern LLM concepts including prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, tool use, structured outputs, token usage, and model evaluation - Understanding of responsible AI concepts including hallucination mitigation, sensitive-data handling, access controls, human oversight, and secure deployment practices

Nice to have

- ServiceNow development, configuration, workflow automation, or enterprise platform implementation experience, including IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, Virtual Agent, or Now Assist - Familiarity with orchestration and application frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or comparable tools - Experience with Docker, CI/CD, SQL, Git, infrastructure-as-code, and secure cloud deployment practices - Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts and building or integrating secure tool and data connections for AI applications - Completion of relevant partner enablement or technical training programs for Claude-based enterprise deployments
