Summer 2027 AI Services and Platforms Software Engineer Graduate Intern

Role overview Join a software engineering team for a summer graduate internship focused on cloud-native services that support generative AI applications. With guidance from experienced engineers and architects, you’ll contribute to reusable backend components and platform capabilities for systems involving language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI agents.

Responsibilities - Develop Python microservices and backend features for AI applications. - Design and implement REST APIs and orchestration capabilities. - Contribute to architecture and system design discussions for scalable services. - Write automated tests and help deploy services to cloud environments. - Support performance tuning, monitoring, and observability improvements. - Participate in Agile projects while receiving mentorship and building practical engineering skills.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree and current enrollment, full or part time, in a graduate program at an accredited college or university. - Authorization to work independently in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Nice to have - Current study toward a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field. - Strong Python skills and experience building backend applications. - Familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or comparable frameworks. - Understanding of software design, APIs, distributed systems, service orchestration, and API lifecycle management.
