About this role
Role overview Lead product management across a portfolio serving online sellers and brands, with a focus on expanding beyond marketplace selling into direct-to-consumer, multi-channel commerce, and AI-enabled products. You’ll set a sequenced roadmap and guide discovery through launch while remaining closely involved in day-to-day execution and customer research. The position leads product teams in the United States and China through a mix of direct management and management through a team lead.
Responsibilities - Turn product priorities into a multi-quarter roadmap, balancing core platform work with growth opportunities and keeping delivery plans realistic. - Run a structured pipeline for new products, from customer problem discovery and validation to prototypes, pilots, launches, or stopping ideas that lack evidence. - Guide product development for direct-to-consumer and multi-channel commerce, including owned storefronts, retail marketplaces, search, and social channels. - Assess AI-enabled opportunities and define measures for customer adoption and product quality. - Lead customer interviews and advisory sessions, and work with marketing and sales partners to bring products to market. - Set shared product practices, review requirements and specifications, manage operating cadences, and coach teams across locations and time zones.
Requirements - Extensive product management experience, including senior leadership and direct management of product managers in a SaaS, e-commerce, or data platform setting. - Track record launching new products or business lines and delivering roadmaps across multiple teams. - Strong understanding of both marketplace and direct-to-consumer commerce, with sound judgment about product opportunities. - Experience with AI- or machine-learning-enabled products and the ability to distinguish customer value from novelty. - Skilled in customer discovery, qualitative research, and evidence-based product decisions. - Experience leading distributed teams, working across engineering and design, and using analytics tools or SQL to measure product outcomes.
Benefits and work setup - U.S.-based role with regular customer contact; teams span the United States and China. - The listing gives a base salary range of $190,000–$220,000 USD and eligibility for an annual bonus. - Benefits listed include flexible paid time off, holidays, health and insurance plans, retirement matching, parental leave, volunteer time, and family-building and wellness support.
