About this role
Role overview Develop, integrate, test, and maintain applications, contributing across the software lifecycle from requirements and design through deployment and support. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical guidance, reusable component development, and collaboration on product priorities and technology roadmaps.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and unit test scalable applications, then troubleshoot incidents and maintain systems in production. - Turn business and project requirements into functional specifications, detailed designs, and component-level plans. - Participate in Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, coding, reviews, integration, and deployment. - Create reusable technical components and contribute to technical documentation and test plans. - Advise support and delivery teams, help prioritize product features, and identify relevant technologies and opportunities. - Support application configuration, performance management, and change control.
Requirements - Meet one of these experience and education paths: a bachelor’s degree plus four years in IT; technical certification or college coursework plus six years; or eight years of IT experience. - Experience with application or product feature design, business requirements, and an SDLC approach such as Agile, Scrum, or iterative development. - Experience in application development, integration, configuration, and performance management; relevant technologies may include traditional programming, scripting, web, mobile, cloud, or service-oriented systems. - Ability to prototype quickly, solve problems analytically, think creatively, and execute work effectively. - Ability to manage competing priorities and handle conflicts with colleagues, customers, or managers. - Ability to sit and perform computer entry throughout a work shift, as required.
Nice to have - A computer science or IT degree and substantial experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, messaging, SQL, security, integration frameworks, and persistence tools. - Front-end experience with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS; integration experience with MuleSoft. - Familiarity with CI/CD, Azure, OpenShift, application servers, and high-volume transactional systems. - Experience using AI-assisted development tools, establishing engineering standards, and preparing applications for production through configuration, debugging, and performance tuning. - Strong communication skills and the ability to connect business needs with technical solutions.
Benefits and work setup Remote work is available within the continental United States, with some states excluded. The stated annual base-pay range is $92,700–$167,500, with actual compensation varying by skills, experience, and location; the role is also aligned with an annual incentive plan.
