Role overview

A customer site-based Customer Support Specialist is needed to safeguard patient safety by keeping a BloodTrack system running reliably. Based in Oxford with full onsite presence, the role blends hands-on technical support, preventative maintenance, and clinical training for a healthcare environment where downtime is not an option.

Responsibilities

- Maintain optimal functionality of the BloodTrack system, diagnosing hardware and software issues promptly and accurately. - Monitor the onsite helpdesk and respond to requests by phone, remotely, or in person as appropriate. - Conduct scheduled reviews and rolling preventative maintenance on PDAs, printers, blood fridges, and related devices. - Coordinate third-party repair and replacement of faulty equipment, keeping accurate asset and KPI records. - Deliver operational training and competency assessments for clinical staff, including nurses, porters, and agency colleagues. - Prepare monthly KPI reports and maintain up-to-date troubleshooting guides and educational materials.

Requirements

- Professional background as a Biomedical Scientist, Pathology IT specialist, laboratory professional, or Transfusion Practitioner. - At least 5 years of experience in a nursing or clinical environment using clinical software applications. - Demonstrated experience delivering training, coaching, or competency assessments in a clinical or healthcare setting. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to both clinical and technical audiences. - High level of accuracy under pressure, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to problem resolution. - Full driving licence and willingness to be onsite five days a week, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
