Technical Manager - Platform Services Mobile Foundations

Role overview Lead an engineering team building shared frontend and mobile foundations used across a product ecosystem. The role combines people management, technical direction, and delivery planning, with a focus on React and React Native architecture, platform SDKs, and integrations such as identity, notifications, and localization. This position is remote within Brazil.

Responsibilities - Manage, mentor, and support engineers, including hiring, performance feedback, and career development. - Lead complex platform initiatives from planning through delivery, coordinating frontend and mobile needs with backend-for-frontend and core services. - Guide React and React Native architecture, review designs and code, and make sound trade-offs for scalable systems. - Align roadmaps, scope, and integration standards with product, UX, and teams building customer-facing applications. - Improve engineering practices for testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and developer experience across platform services. - Plan execution through roadmaps and sprints, managing dependencies, resources, and delivery risks.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and developing engineers. - Strong software engineering background with hands-on React and React Native experience; mobile architecture experience is required. - Experience taking technical projects from concept to production while balancing quality and delivery timelines. - Understanding of distributed systems, mobile architecture, micro frontends, backend-for-frontend patterns, REST APIs, and GraphQL. - Strong planning and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical partners in Portuguese and English. - Collaborative approach to mentoring and building an inclusive team culture.
