Engineering Manager

Role overview Lead two engineering teams responsible for the research study experience and the tools customers use to interpret findings. The role combines people management, delivery ownership, and technical leadership: you’ll help teams ship reliable product improvements while shaping the engineering practices and tools used to build them.

Responsibilities - Hire, staff, coach, and support engineers through regular feedback, performance management, and career growth. - Plan and sequence team work, resolve blockers, manage delivery risks, and coordinate priorities with product partners and company leaders. - Maintain the quality and operational health of shipped systems, including monitoring and adversarial testing. - Develop shared components, coding conventions, CI checks, agent workflows, and developer experience that support fast, dependable delivery. - Guide system design and architectural decisions, and turn product priorities into work that reaches customers.

Requirements - Previous engineering management experience, including hiring, performance cycles, and helping people take on greater responsibility. - Strong technical background comparable to a senior engineer, with experience building and operating production systems. - Ability to give direct, timely feedback and handle difficult people-management decisions with care. - Sound judgment in breaking ambiguous problems into workable plans, spotting delivery risks, and adapting the level of process to the situation. - Experience with system design and the ability to evaluate technical proposals, estimates, and blockers. - Practical experience using agentic coding tools, with informed views on how teams can use them while maintaining quality.
