Role overview
Serve as a senior technical force multiplier for presales teams working on complex customer engagements across the UK. The role combines solution architecture, technical enablement, live demonstration infrastructure, customer-facing storytelling, product influence, and mentorship. You will operate with substantial autonomy on strategic opportunities while helping other technical sellers scale their expertise and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Advise on high-value customer opportunities, partnering with solution engineers and observability specialists to solve difficult technical and competitive challenges. - Act as a recognized subject-matter expert in one product area while maintaining broad knowledge across related platform capabilities. - Design reference architectures and create persuasive, outcome-oriented technical narratives that support successful sales engagements. - Own technical enablement content such as workshops, demonstrations, how-to materials, and training guides, keeping it aligned with product changes. - Architect and maintain reliable, secure production environments for demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-value projects at scale. - Influence product planning by surfacing customer and enablement gaps, represent the technical organization at marketing events, improve documentation, and mentor senior field and solution engineers.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant technical experience, including 2 or more years in a senior field-engineering or comparable technical presales position. - Demonstrated success supporting strategic enterprise engagements with limited supervision. - Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts through customer presentations, workshops, demos, written content, and value-based stories. - Deep expertise in at least one area of observability or an adjacent platform domain, with breadth across multiple related technologies. - Experience building or operating reliable environments used for demos, workshops, or proof-of-value work. - Strong communication, mentoring, documentation, and cross-functional influencing skills.
