Role overview
Build software and internal systems that make security assurance more automated, visible, and useful across a cloud-based software environment. You’ll develop controls, observability, and compliance tooling that helps teams identify risks early and follow secure paths through application development, infrastructure, and the software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated security assurance programs that support organizational and regulatory obligations. - Build security observability systems and internal tools that provide clear insight into security posture and control status. - Integrate security checks and guardrails into employee workflows, build pipelines, applications, and infrastructure. - Work with security, engineering, and customer-facing teams to define and deploy controls across the software development lifecycle. - Contribute across areas such as application, cloud, build, and supply chain security, as well as certification work. - Help stakeholders, customers, or auditors understand and adopt security requirements where needed.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on software engineering and development experience. - Ability to build, implement, or improve security programs in a cloud-based SaaS environment. - Capacity to develop automation and tooling that supports security controls at scale. - Willingness to learn unfamiliar standards and translate requirements into workable engineering controls. - Effective collaboration with engineers and other stakeholders; ability to guide discussions and negotiate practical approaches.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with frameworks or standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIST, PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, or TISAX. - Experience working with customers or auditors on security assurance matters.
