Job details
About this role
Role overview A six-month contract opportunity is open for a senior user experience researcher to direct research activities within a remote product design organization based in Hungary. The role centers on shaping exceptional, user-centered experiences for a global user base by partnering closely with engineering, product management, and design colleagues to translate bold ideas into practical value. There is a strong emphasis on harnessing AI to streamline research workflows and elevate study design.
Responsibilities - Lead the planning, execution, and communication of discovery and validation research, choosing methodologies that fit team timelines and deliver actionable insights. - Partner with product, engineering, and UX design counterparts to investigate user behavior, needs, mental models, and workflows, then translate findings into product opportunities. - Maintain and curate an up-to-date research repository that captures deep user and product knowledge for cross-team use. - Monitor the competitive landscape and surface opportunities for innovation and disruption to inform research direction. - Improve and scale participant recruiting channels by collaborating closely with customer success, product marketing, and lifecycle marketing teams. - Explore and incorporate AI-driven approaches into routine research steps, freeing capacity for higher-judgment study design work.
Requirements - Five or more years of relevant industry experience leading UX research in senior roles within lean, agile, and delivery-driven environments. - Demonstrated ability to craft research plans and deliver insights using techniques such as user interviews, jobs-to-be-done analysis, persona development, and usability testing. - Strong grasp of qualitative research best practices, with working familiarity in quantitative methods to round out the picture. - Research experience in B2B settings, including engaging admins, vendors, and managed service providers. - Solid problem-solving skills, self-governance, and a willingness to innovate, including thoughtful use of AI in research processes. - Confidence building and facilitating workshops, presentations, and stakeholder readouts.
Nice to have - Background supporting a remote-management or IT-support-style product where user outcomes, troubleshooting journeys, and admin mental models are central to the experience.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote position based in Hungary on an initial six-month contract. - Comprehensive health benefits, generous paid time off including holidays, volunteer days, and quarterly self-care days. - Tuition reimbursement plus access to instructor-led and on-demand learning programs. - Wellness offerings covering an EAP, wellness app, one-on-one coaching, and an inclusive employee-led community program. - Specific benefits may vary by country in line with local regulations and market practices.
