Role overview A senior solutions engineer specializing in maintenance is needed to take a new maintenance platform to market as a domain expert overlay. Rather than owning a fixed book of business, this person parachutes into opportunities across the field wherever deep maintenance expertise can move a deal forward, acting as a trusted advisor to both technicians and executives. The role also helps co-author the go-to-market motion, translating field signal into product roadmap input.
Responsibilities - Partner with Account Executives and peer Solutions Engineers to shape deal strategy, run discovery, and deliver tailored demos when maintenance is central to the evaluation - Tie maintenance workflows to measurable outcomes and position the platform as a trusted advisor solution for technicians and executives - Lead proof of concepts and trials that translate complex maintenance challenges into clear, outcome-driven stories - Own the technical and domain narrative for the maintenance platform, building deep expertise in operations and the competitive landscape - Serve as the real-time feedback loop between field and Product, turning customer pain, gaps, and emerging use cases into roadmap input - Help build the go-to-market motion, including trial strategy, demo narratives, objection handling, and repeatable sales plays - Enable the broader field organization so any SE can confidently position and sell the platform - Support prioritization of the product roadmap based on field insight and help stand up motions for future product lines
Requirements - 5+ years in solutions engineering, pre-sales, solution consulting, or a customer-facing maintenance technology role, ideally at a CMMS, EAM, field service, or maintenance software company - Deep expertise in maintenance operations and asset management, including preventive maintenance, work orders, inspections, uptime, and technician productivity - Demonstrated success supporting complex, multi-stakeholder B2B SaaS sales cycles - Strong knowledge of value-based selling frameworks and the ability to influence both technicians and executives - Hands-on experience designing trials, POCs, and evaluation strategies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset - Comfort operating at the intersection of Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success - Willingness to travel for strategic opportunities and planning - Background in asset-intensive industries such as manufacturing, transportation, field services, energy, or construction is a plus
Benefits and work setup - On-target earnings of $160,000 to $220,000 USD (base plus commissions); total compensation may include restricted stock units - Health, pharmacy, optical, and dental benefits; paid time off and sick leave - Short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and 401(k) contribution (subject to eligibility) - Some interviews or new-hire training may be held in person at a global office - Applicants must be authorized to access commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations
