Staff Fullstack Engineer (Ruby/Vue.js) Monetization Engineering: Purchase

Role overview

A staff-level fullstack role on the Monetization Engineering team that owns the purchase experience. The engineer works across the Ruby on Rails API layer and the Vue.js front end to build, evolve, and optimize the flows that convert intent into revenue. The position is fully remote across Canada and the United States and targets engineers who are equally at home in backend services and modern single-page applications.

Responsibilities

- Design and ship features across the purchase funnel, including checkout, upgrades, trials, and account changes - Build and maintain Ruby on Rails APIs and Vue.js components that power customer-facing monetization flows - Improve reliability, observability, and performance of payment-related services and UI - Partner with product, design, finance, and security to land changes that move revenue while reducing friction - Mentor teammates on fullstack patterns, code review, and testing practices

Requirements

- Staff-level experience as a fullstack engineer on a production web application - Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails for backend work and modern JavaScript with Vue.js on the front end - Hands-on experience integrating third-party payment processors and handling subscription or one-time billing flows - Solid grasp of web application security, especially around authentication, PCI scope, and PII handling - Comfort working asynchronously with distributed teams across North America
