Role overview This is an intermediate-level backend engineering role focused on building and maintaining the server-side systems that power a large software platform. The position is aligned to the Americas (AMER) region and is fully remote for candidates based in Canada or the United States. Engineers at this level are expected to deliver production-quality work independently while continuing to expand their technical depth.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations - Write clean, testable, and well-documented code - Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teammates on feature delivery - Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions - Debug production issues and improve the reliability of existing systems
Requirements - Professional experience in backend software development - Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages - Familiarity with relational databases and common web service patterns - Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance considerations - Comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
