Web Developer (U.S. Remote)

A federal program is hiring a full-stack Web Developer to help build and modernize applications serving a high-visibility national organization. The position is fully remote within the continental United States, follows Eastern Time business hours, and suits a developer who thrives in a small Agile team delivering secure, production-ready web experiences.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain modern web applications with attention to user experience - Maintain existing applications while developing new features and capabilities - Collaborate with project leads and stakeholders to clarify requirements and shape solutions - Produce wireframes, workflow diagrams, and technical approaches that guide development - Build secure, scalable, production-ready solutions on the .NET stack with C# and ASP.NET - Improve UI/UX quality, refactor legacy code, and resolve defects across the web portfolio - Participate in Agile ceremonies, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to technical documentation

Requirements

- U.S. citizenship and a current U.S. passport - Active DoD Secret clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain one - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a closely related field - At least three years of programming experience and two years building interactive web applications - Strong proficiency with .NET / ASP.NET / C#, SQL and relational databases, and HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript - Hands-on experience with a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, Node.js, or jQuery - Ability to earn and maintain certifications such as CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Server+

Nice to have

- Experience with .NET-based CMS platforms such as Umbraco, DNN, or Sitefinity - Familiarity with WebForms, RESTful APIs, and Bootstrap - Background supporting high-visibility or high-traffic websites and applications - Interest in cloud technologies; AWS Associate-level certification or higher
