Role overview
A client-facing professional services developer role focused on extending and customizing an event management platform through branded event websites, third-party integrations, and bespoke functionality. The position involves translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions while advising clients on feasibility, scope, and approach. It requires close collaboration with both internal teams and external client stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, accessible front-end solutions using HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript. - Build customized branded client websites with attention to brand consistency, polish, and cross-device/browser compatibility. - Design, build, and maintain integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware connecting to CRM, payment, SSO, and marketing automation systems. - Read and work from API documentation to scope, architect, and troubleshoot integrations across platforms and authentication schemes such as OAuth, API keys, and tokens. - Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery against quality standards. - Serve as a technical advisor during client calls, communicating complex concepts clearly and providing training on delivered solutions. - Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation, AI tools, or software customization while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Requirements
- 5+ years of web development experience with strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript. - Proficiency with at least one modern JavaScript framework or language (Vue.js, React, or TypeScript). - Proven track record owning development and delivery for branded websites and integration projects. - Expert understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and performance best practices. - Demonstrated experience building scalable integrations using APIs and webhooks. - Strong design sensibility with the ability to balance technical execution with user experience considerations. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
