Role overview
Lead a distributed software development organization working across legacy applications, modernized systems, and cloud-native services. The role combines delivery ownership and engineering oversight with people leadership, secure development practices, and responsible use of AI-assisted tools to improve software work.
Responsibilities - Set priorities and coordinate teams across application workstreams; manage plans, schedules, resources, risks, and delivery commitments. - Lead Agile ceremonies, backlog management, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and release tracking. - Establish standards for architecture, coding, testing, documentation, and peer review. - Guide secure engineering, automated quality checks, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code across cloud and container environments. - Help developers use AI tools for design, coding, testing, and documentation, with human review and safeguards for sensitive data and traceability. - Coach team members, manage workload and performance, and work with product, customer, security, architecture, and infrastructure partners.
Requirements - At least five years of related experience. - U.S. citizenship. - Experience with Agile delivery, application development, and AWS cloud operations. - Ability to lead software delivery and communicate progress, risks, decisions, and tradeoffs across technical and non-technical groups.
Nice to have - Experience with Java/Spring, React, Python, SQL, AWS, and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development tools. - Experience modernizing legacy applications or migrating workloads to cloud platforms.
