Senior Security Engineer

Role overview A Senior Security Engineer is needed to protect patient data within a healthcare technology organization that partners with employers to improve care quality and reduce costs. The Security Engineering team is responsible for cloud infrastructure hardening, secure code guardrails, and maintaining client trust. The role spans infrastructure, application security, and developer education across a modern cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities - Provide technical leadership in securing networks, systems, applications, and databases. - Participate in a Security Engineering on-call rotation and respond to security incidents. - Embed security into the build pipeline through automated SAST/DAST testing and policy enforcement. - Oversee vulnerability management and coordinate remediation efforts across teams. - Educate engineers and advocate for a security-oriented culture throughout the engineering organization. - Work across diverse projects spanning cloud, application, and infrastructure security.

Requirements - 3 to 5 years of experience in Security Engineering, ideally with at least 2 years in a B2B organization. - Strong proficiency in cloud security tooling (for example AWS IAM, CrowdStrike, Wiz). - Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably from a platform engineering background. - Background in Application Security and securing RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with modern IAM solutions and identity governance patterns.

Nice to have - Hands-on familiarity with the team's core stack: Python, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Wiz, Exaforce, and CrowdStrike.
