About this role
Role overview A Solutions Engineer is needed on the EMEA team to partner with sales on technical pre-sales engagements and help accelerate new business revenue. The position blends commercial thinking with hands-on technical expertise, treating solutions engineering as a revenue-driving function rather than a support role. The work centers on discovery, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements for prospective customers.
Responsibilities - Partner with Account Executives to drive technical sales engagements, accelerate opportunities, and contribute to new business revenue targets. - Lead technical discovery sessions to surface customer challenges, requirements, and business objectives. - Deliver compelling product demonstrations that communicate value and competitive advantages to mixed audiences. - Manage technical evaluations and proof-of-concept engagements, guiding them toward successful outcomes. - Proactively identify and resolve technical objections and deal blockers during sales cycles. - Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value for technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Collaborate with Sales, Product, and cross-functional teams to share customer insights and improve the sales process. - Contribute to reusable demonstrations, technical sales materials, and initiatives that lift team efficiency.
Requirements - 2+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, technical pre-sales, or a comparable customer-facing technical role. - A commercial mindset and a clear understanding of how technical expertise drives revenue and wins business. - Solid working knowledge of REST APIs, SDKs, webhooks, JSON, and modern integration architectures. - Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman. - Demonstrated ability to run technical discovery, deliver product demos, and support proof-of-concept engagements. - Excellent communication and presentation skills across technical and business audiences. - A proactive, self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. - Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
Nice to have - Background in identity verification, KYC/AML, fraud prevention, fintech, or payments. - Familiarity with European regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, eIDAS, or financial services compliance requirements. - Proficiency in additional European languages such as Spanish, German, French, or Portuguese. - Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles, RFPs, or competitive technical evaluations. - Programming experience with JavaScript, Python, or mobile development frameworks. - Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDICC or experience using Salesforce.
