About this role
Role overview Modernize an established desktop product by moving functionality into a web-based .NET application. The role also supports evaluation and integration of AI capabilities into software and business workflows, balancing useful automation with reliability, security, and maintainability.
Responsibilities - Partner with product, quality, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design solutions using .NET, C++, and C#. - Develop and maintain web applications and REST APIs, using object-oriented practices and dependency injection where appropriate. - Refactor existing code, participate in reviews, and resolve functional, technical, and performance issues. - Test application behavior with unit and integration tests, support deployments, and assess performance. - Explore AI features and service integrations; help establish testing, monitoring, and validation practices for them. - Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, or documentation, checking outputs for accuracy, security, and quality.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience. - At least 5 years of full-stack development experience, including C#, .NET web applications, and object-oriented programming. - At least 5 years of experience with SQL Server or a similar relational database. - Experience with C++, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern web frameworks. - Familiarity with microservice architecture, RESTful APIs, and web security practices such as OWASP guidance. - Basic understanding of generative AI, large language models, or AI service APIs, with the ability to support application integration; strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice to have - Experience as an AI engineer and familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
