Senior Front End Engineer

Role overview This is a contract, fully remote opportunity for a senior front-end engineer who can turn ambitious creative direction into fast, accessible, and elegant web experiences. The work spans WordPress block-theme projects and Next.js/React applications, with the expectation that you move fluently between custom CSS craftsmanship and utility-first approaches like Tailwind. You will serve as the bridge between design vision and shipped product, with a strategic mindset toward AI-augmented workflows.

Responsibilities - Architect and ship large-scale, modular front-end products that hold high standards for performance, accessibility, and maintainability. - Lead through code reviews and introduce component patterns that elevate the team's front-end craft. - Translate complex design visions into polished, cross-browser experiences that balance aesthetic refinement with technical excellence. - Act as the liaison between creative vision and technical execution, presenting solutions confidently to clients and collaborators. - Apply modern engineering workflows, including thoughtful use of AI tools, to improve quality and throughput. - Contribute reusable patterns and architectural decisions that influence work beyond a single project.

Requirements - Senior-level experience in front-end engineering across WordPress block editor/theme work and React/Next.js applications. - A portfolio or code samples demonstrating elegant, maintainable solutions across multiple frameworks. - Strong grasp of both custom CSS implementations and Tailwind-based layouts, with a sharp eye for UX, performance, and accessibility. - Clear, confident communication with clients and distributed teammates. - Self-directed ownership of work in a remote environment.
