Role overview
Own technical relationships with a portfolio of customers and help them address open source software licensing, security, and regulatory challenges. The work spans hands-on implementation, complex integrations, customer consulting, and coordination with internal product and engineering teams. You will also lead technical engagements related to mergers and acquisitions, including code licensing and vulnerability audits, and explain complex findings clearly to audiences with varied technical backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer and prospect consulting engagements involving code licensing reviews and vulnerability audits for mergers and acquisitions. - Take ongoing technical ownership of assigned customers and build trusted relationships with technical champions and other stakeholders. - Plan and implement integrations suited to each customer’s build environment, including CI/CD pipelines and command-line tools. - Partner with customer success colleagues to shape technical strategies, complex rollouts, and measurable customer outcomes. - Coordinate with product and engineering teams to reproduce defects, manage escalations, and share useful context with on-call responders. - Produce customer-facing technical documentation and identify ways to improve internal processes and remove implementation obstacles.
Requirements
- Experience writing and maintaining scripts, such as with Bash, Python, or Perl. - Ability to create and maintain clear technical project documentation for customers. - Experience helping organizations plan complex technical deployments, including identifying stakeholders and potential blockers. - Working knowledge of threat modeling and the ability to make practical recommendations for modern software architectures. - Ability to collaborate across customer and internal teams, communicate technical issues to nontechnical audiences, and adapt to ambiguity. - Persistence, sound judgment, and a customer-focused approach to complex problems.
Nice to have
- Background in technical consulting, sales engineering, or solutions architecture. - Experience with open source license compliance or mergers and acquisitions audits; familiarity with licensing frameworks such as GPL, MIT, and Apache. - Exposure to private or on-premises SaaS deployments, Kubernetes, SCA or SAST tools, software vulnerabilities, or build systems. - Open source contributions or prior experience at a SaaS provider with complex integrations. - Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer meetings.
Benefits and work setup
The role is listed as part of a distributed team. The stated annual on-target cash compensation range is $200,000–$240,000 USD. Other listed benefits include equity and flexible time off.
