About this role
Role overview Lead and grow an engineering organization of approximately 16 engineers within a digital health platform that connects members with personalized nutrition guidance, meal planning, and online food ordering. The role partners closely with product and design to translate roadmap priorities into well-architected systems, drives the adoption of AI throughout engineering practices, and raises the bar on a full-stack web platform.
Responsibilities - Set technical direction and management practices that keep multiple engineering teams shipping reliable, high-quality software. - Translate product and business strategy into well-architected systems and clear delivery plans across pods. - Champion the responsible adoption of AI throughout engineering workflows and product features. - Manage cross-team dependencies, risk, and delivery using Agile or Lean practices such as Scrum and Kanban. - Hire, coach, and develop engineers, investing in mentorship and growth across the organization. - Make sound architecture decisions for scalable, full-stack web applications and tie engineering work to measurable business impact.
Requirements - Proven track record managing multiple engineering teams with clear accountability for delivery, quality, and velocity. - Experience building products that incorporate agentic systems, LLM integrations, or AI-first architectures, with measurable results. - Deep working knowledge of React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, JavaScript, AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, RDS, SQS, and DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redshift, plus Docker/Kubernetes for containerized deployments and familiarity with GraphQL and RESTful API design. - Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare or digital health, with HIPAA and SOC 2 awareness and audit-friendly change management.
