Role overview
Lead full stack engineering across automated testing, test data tooling, web interfaces, and cloud delivery for public sector digital services. You’ll help teams working across multiple vendors find and resolve issues, improve release quality, and adopt more reliable delivery practices.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain end to end UI and API test suites with Playwright and TypeScript. - Create Python tools and REST API integrations that generate synthetic data and reduce manual test setup. - Develop React and TypeScript interfaces for creating test scenarios and tracking pipeline status. - Design and improve CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, and feature promotion workflows. - Lead troubleshooting across distributed services, vendors, cloud changes, and test configurations; mentor engineers and review code. - Support infrastructure changes with Terraform, security scanning, and continuous compliance practices.
Requirements
- 10 or more years building full stack applications and engineering tools with TypeScript and Python. - Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, including Terraform. - Ability to design systems that integrate with external services, databases, and third party APIs. - Strong diagnostic skills with distributed applications and microservices, plus experience estimating work and communicating technical updates to stakeholders. - Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship, and ability to meet applicable contract requirements. A background check or clearance may be required depending on the project.
Nice to have
- Experience on federal digital services or civic technology projects. - Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP, observability tools, or synthetic data and mock service design.
