Role overview
This role leads the design and improvement of DevOps automation used to deliver secure, scalable software across platform-engineering environments. The work focuses on continuous integration and delivery, Kubernetes-based deployment, release quality, operational efficiency, and controls that help enterprise and SaaS platforms operate reliably.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable platforms. - Design and support automated deployments using Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Argo CD, Helm, Terraform, and related cloud-native tooling. - Develop automation scripts and operational tools with Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages. - Work with platform engineering, development, security, and infrastructure teams to define requirements and implement scalable solutions. - Manage source-control, artifact, code-quality, integration-testing, and regression-testing workflows using Git, Artifactory, SonarQube, and related tools. - Monitor delivery processes and introduce improvements that strengthen security, compliance, release performance, and reliability in Agile environments.
Requirements
- At least eight years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or software automation supporting CI/CD environments. - At least six years designing, implementing, and supporting secure CI/CD pipelines. - At least six years working with Kubernetes automation and deployment management, including tools such as Argo CD, Helm, Terraform, or Amazon EKS. - At least five years developing automation with Python, Bash, Go, or similar programming and scripting languages. - Experience with Git, artifact repositories, code-quality validation, integration testing, regression testing, and security or compliance controls. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice to have
- Experience architecting complex enterprise GitLab pipeline frameworks. - Experience with zero-downtime database upgrades using Liquibase, Flyway, or comparable migration tools. - Background in SaaS, cloud-native distributed systems, or regulated environments with demanding security and compliance requirements.
