Role overview
This role helps build and operate platform-engineering capabilities that enable secure, dependable software delivery. The work centers on CI/CD automation, Kubernetes deployments, infrastructure tooling, testing, and engineering controls that improve release consistency and reduce manual operational effort in a high-availability environment.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve continuous integration and delivery pipelines using GitLab and related automation tools. - Support application deployment automation with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Argo CD, Helm, and Terraform. - Create scripts and operational tooling in Python, Bash, Go, or comparable languages. - Collaborate with engineering and other technical teams to gather requirements, plan implementations, and align platform capabilities with delivery needs. - Organize and prioritize work in an Agile environment while adapting to changing requirements and timelines. - Support integration and regression testing in Kubernetes environments and contribute to artifact management, pipeline controls, and code-quality validation.
Requirements
- At least six years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or software engineering focused on CI/CD automation. - At least four years designing, building, and managing secure pipelines using GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms. - At least four years working with Kubernetes orchestration and automation, including Argo CD, Helm, Terraform, and AWS environments such as Amazon EKS. - At least four years developing automation with Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages. - At least three years using source-control, artifact-management, and code-quality tools such as Git, Artifactory, and SonarQube. - At least three years supporting integration and regression testing in Kubernetes-based environments, plus a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience designing complex enterprise GitLab CI/CD pipelines. - Experience supporting zero-downtime database migrations with Liquibase, Flyway, or similar tools. - Background in SaaS, platform engineering for regulated industries, or environments with formal security and compliance requirements.
