Role overview
Own the design direction for a significant product area that supports complex audit and assurance work. You’ll take ambiguous problems from discovery through launch, partnering closely with product and engineering to create useful, scalable workflows and shape how AI can support practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Lead design from problem framing and research through user journeys, interaction models, detailed interface work, and shipped solutions. - Work with product and engineering partners to influence strategy and roadmaps and deliver scalable implementations. - Make independent progress in a fast-moving environment, balancing quick iteration with usability, consistency, and lasting quality. - Bring together customer needs, research findings, and business goals while accounting for technical and regulatory constraints. - Anticipate how decisions affect related workflows and user groups across the product. - Contribute to design standards and systems, mentor peers, and provide trusted design leadership.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of product design experience, preferably with complex B2B software. - Strategic individual-contributor skills, including the judgment to identify which problems matter and the ability to anticipate downstream effects. - Experience influencing senior product and engineering leaders. - Experience shaping AI-assisted workflows across a product or system, not only within an individual interaction. - A record of mentoring designers and setting a strong standard for craft and consistency. - Ability to maintain a long-term design perspective while delivering improvements incrementally.
Nice to have
- Experience in audit, accounting, compliance, or another regulated field; workflow-heavy or document-centered software; or cross-team design strategy. - Experience scaling design systems or team practices, coaching designers, or applying accessibility and inclusive design standards.
