Role overview An Analytics Engineer position is open on the data team of a global live entertainment and culture platform that connects millions of users each month with experiences around the world. The role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business analytics, building trusted, well-modeled datasets that enable self-service decisions across marketing, CRM, product, and B2B domains. The team operates a modern stack built around Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, DataHub, and Metabase, and is actively investing in agentic AI tools to accelerate delivery.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain data models in DBT and SQL that turn raw data into clean, trusted datasets for reporting. - Collaborate with data engineering to define and certify business-critical metrics across revenue, engagement, marketing, and B2B KPIs. - Partner with business squads to understand analytics needs and translate them into reusable data assets. - Use agentic AI tools and modern coding assistants to speed up development and improve output quality. - Ensure data quality and consistency through testing frameworks, observability, and governance practices. - Contribute to Airflow pipelines in Python to support orchestration and automation. - Support the team's data mesh direction by producing domain-owned datasets that follow platform guidelines.
Requirements - Fluent in Spanish and English, since communication splits between local Spanish-speaking teams and global English-speaking teams. - Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. - Strong experience with SQL and data modeling (star, snowflake, data vault, or equivalent approaches). - Hands-on experience with DBT or a comparable transformation framework. - Hands-on experience with Python and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect. - Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, plus BI tools such as Metabase, Superset, or Tableau. - Understanding of data quality, governance, and observability practices.
Nice to have - Prior experience working in a federated or data mesh environment. - Familiarity with data catalog tools such as DataHub, Collibra, or Amundsen. - Exposure to analytics for marketing, CRM, or B2B reporting domains.
