About this role
Role overview Own the technical program for launching a shared digital platform in new international markets, from early assessment through launch and stabilization. You will align engineering, product, legal, compliance, finance, operations, external vendors, and regulators to translate local requirements into a repeatable expansion approach for a customer facing platform.
Responsibilities - Define scope, milestones, dependencies, and success measures for concurrent market launches. - Work with legal and compliance partners to convert licensing, privacy, data residency, identity, location, responsible use, and reporting obligations into engineering plans. - Create reusable launch practices, including architecture patterns, configurable market setup, and readiness checklists. - Coordinate third party integrations for payments, identity verification, geolocation, data feeds, and regional hosting, tracking delivery and service commitments. - Partner with engineering on multi-region infrastructure, currencies, languages, payments, tax, and reporting capabilities. - Set launch criteria, cutover and support plans, and post-launch reviews; communicate risks, decisions, and progress to senior stakeholders and track program health metrics.
Requirements - 10 or more years in technical program management, including senior level leadership of large cross-functional programs. - At least 12 years working directly with software engineering teams on complex distributed systems. - Successful delivery of products or platforms in multiple international markets, preferably in regulated sectors. - Experience translating compliance requirements into technical delivery plans and managing external vendors and integrations. - Strong grounding in cloud platforms, distributed or microservice architectures, and enterprise software. - Clear written and verbal communication, executive influence, and experience with program tools such as Jira and Confluence across delivery methods. - Willingness to travel internationally for launches, partner meetings, and team events.
Nice to have - Background in sports betting, gaming, fintech, payments, or other regulated, high availability services. - Familiarity with international licensing and regulators, privacy frameworks, data residency, regional payments, tax, and localization. - Experience with launch readiness, cutover, hypercare, scaled Agile, or shared platforms serving multiple business units; another language is a plus.
