Senior Data Analyst - Finance Analytics

Role overview

Build the financial reporting capability for a new online gaming business, taking ownership from underlying data models through dashboards, recurring reports, and business insights. This is a greenfield role with direct exposure to leaders and close collaboration across finance, analytics engineering, data, operations, legal, compliance, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

- Create and maintain financial reporting infrastructure, including dashboards, recurring reports, and KPI tracking. - Work with analytics engineers to develop data models and deliver reporting through business intelligence and finance systems. - Join and transform large datasets with SQL, Snowflake, and dbt to meet cross-functional reporting needs. - Build clear business intelligence solutions and help maintain good practices across reporting environments. - Explain findings to finance and business stakeholders, helping them understand performance and make decisions. - Partner with analysts and data engineers on scalable solutions, and use generative AI tools to automate reporting workflows. - Share analytics practices and newer platform capabilities with colleagues.

Requirements

- At least 4 years of analyst experience in a fast-moving, high-growth environment. - Strong SQL skills and experience querying large datasets; relevant platforms may include Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar. - Experience building models and transformations with dbt Core or dbt Cloud. - Proficiency with a BI tool such as Sigma, Tableau, or Looker. - Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end projects, including work built from the ground up. - Clear communication with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, plus the ability to work independently.

Nice to have

- Python experience for data preparation or pipeline work. - Familiarity with generative AI tools for analysis and automation. - Experience in gaming, casino, sports betting, finance analytics, consulting, or a startup environment.
