Senior Project Manager

Role overview

Manage a portfolio of concurrent IT projects from planning through delivery, coordinating business stakeholders, software teams, vendors, and distributed contributors. The work combines hands-on project control with program-level oversight, and includes serving as Scrum Master for a development team. The client context involves products and services for schools, colleges, universities, sports organizations, and other groups.

Responsibilities

- Own project plans, milestones, scope, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple initiatives. - Track commitments and prepare status reports, leadership updates, and presentations. - Align business and technical stakeholders on goals, requirements, dependencies, and delivery risks. - Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, team capacity discussions, and delivery tracking. - Coordinate work across e-commerce, integration, backend, and enterprise service teams, including vendors, offshore resources, and operations. - Use systems analysis and PMO practices to surface gaps, challenge assumptions, resolve blockers, and keep delivery moving.

Requirements

- Experience in IT project management or Scrum Master work, including software development delivery. - Experience serving as Scrum Master for a software development team and working extensively in Agile environments. - Ability to choose Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methods to suit project needs. - Track record managing multiple cross-functional projects and coordinating delivery across integrations, backend services, and enterprise systems. - Strong planning, organization, stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills. - Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365, plus ownership and follow-through in fast-paced settings.

Nice to have

- Systems analysis experience with requirements, dependencies, data flows, or process gaps. - Experience with retail or e-commerce platforms, Salesforce CRM, or delivery across product and enterprise integration initiatives.
