Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python/Node.js, React)

Role overview

This is a senior full stack engineering position on a long-running engagement with a US-based platform that serves the vehicle lifecycle ecosystem, connecting insurers, repair facilities, parts suppliers and data providers. The engineer will design and deliver production-grade web applications that surface data and services to enterprise clients, while contributing to architecture, mentoring peers and partnering closely with product and design.

Responsibilities

- Design, build and maintain full stack web applications with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability and security - Implement new features and enhancements in a well-tested, maintainable and efficient way - Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to create intuitive, responsive and accessible interfaces - Review and implement technical solutions that meet business requirements, driving resolution of issues and bugs - Contribute to architectural decisions, API design and system integrations, including microservices - Provide technical leadership by guiding design discussions, performing code reviews and supporting continuous improvement - Participate in task estimation, prioritisation and planning aligned with established engineering processes

Requirements

- Extensive professional expertise with Python and Node.js, plus proven experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue or Next.js - Ability to design and deliver scalable, high-performance applications with clean, maintainable code - Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability and scaling - Deep understanding of API development, microservices and system integration - Hands-on knowledge of cloud services, preferably AWS, and database technologies across SQL and NoSQL - Strong sense of ownership, leadership mindset and ability to guide other engineers - Collaborative, proactive approach to problem solving and communication in distributed teams - Upper-Intermediate English
